Israel is a beautiful country. It's so tiny in size and yet has it all - from dessert to sea, mountains and valleys.
If you've been to Israel these photos will serve as a walk down memory lane, if you haven't perhaps it will convince you to come and visit. Which ever it is, I hope you'll enjoy this collection of my own photos as well as the best photos I found across the web. This page is always a work in progress and I'll try to update it as often as possible. If you have links to suggest or photos to share don't please contact me here.

Jerusalem
Jerusalem is the heart of 3 religions - it means so much to so many people that you feel the weight of those emotions as you walk through its streets.

Safed
This holy city (one of four holy cities in Judaism) is located at an elevation of 900 metres (2,953 ft). Safed is the highest city in the Galilee and of Israel - at these heights you are in the top of the world.
Haifa
Among mountain and sea, Haifa is an impressive city. Here is the beautiful coast line..
Acre
Acre is one of the oldest inhibited cities in the region. It goes back to biblical times and before that. A visit to Acre is a great combination of old and new, of east and west - don't miss it.
Nature at its best
Banias Waterfall
In the upper Gallille region this waterfall is one of the most beautiful in Israel. You can walk on a hanging bridge right above the raging waters.
Carmel Mountain
The beautiful Carmel Mountain towers above the Mediterranean Sea offering splendid views of Israel coastline. Stretching from Haifa in the north to Zichron Yaakov it covers plenty of ground.
People have been living in this fertile region for hundred of thousands of years. A few caves in Mount Carmel tell the story of human evolution - this is where men lived half a million years ago. The caves site was recently added to UNESCO list of world Heritage Sites.
Beit She'an
As one of the most ancient cities in the country, Beit She'an is known around the world for it's archaeological treasures. It is less known for the beautiful nature surrounding it..
Mount Gilboa
Standing tall above the Beit Shean valley, Mount Gilboa brings the bible stories alive. The winding mountain top road offers breathtaking views and plenty of spots to stop and soak it all in.
The Negev Desert
So many people in the world still believe people in Israel get from one place to another on camels. While that is far from the reality of Israel, you can still find plenty of camels in the Negev desert.

Flowers of Israel
Despite lack of rain, Israel flowers feature a wide array of colors. I found this beautiful collection photo of common wild flowers in the photo blog of Yehoshua Halevi - there are plenty more beautiful images there so click and enjoy..
Temperatures at the valley of Beit She'an can be very hot in the summer. These sun flowers take the heat well..
Park Uptopia is an Orchids heaven in Israel - it has the right conditions to cultivate 17,000 orchids in beautiful settings.
