Beit She'an is known around the world for it's archaeological treasures. As one of the most ancient cities in the country, it is a historical gem that unfolds the fascinating story of a rich period full of changes, climaxing in the National Park of Beit She’an to the north of the city.
The rich history of the region is evident as you walk the modern city and find archaeological treasures at every corner.
But it's location in the low valley makes it hot like a frying pan in the summer. The many streams found in the region are a great haven from the heat.
Now a new initiative allows you to travel between the streams with ease. When touring the area you can rent a golf cart and drive between the pools and streams in a 15 kilometer trail.
Considering the remarkable heat it's amazing such green grounds flourish here.
