Despite initial protests against Brooklyn College's decision to sponsor an anti Israel BDS event, the event went through as scheduled.
However, while the right for free speech is what enabled Brooklyn College to hold this event despite its hateful nature, I guess free speech is not a right for the Jewish side of this story.
4 Jewish students were forcefully booted off the BDS meeting as they tried to ask Omar Barghouti, the head of BDS movement, some questions.
“The whole point of having this debate was that it would be an open academic forum where I would be allowed to ask questions,” said Goldberg “So I came prepared to ask questions.”
Goldberg, who is studying journalism, is one of the students kicked off from the event.
Once BDS kicked the Jewish students out, the event continued without disruption.
BDS stands for hate and prejudice - is it too much to expect them to honor the right of free speech?
Go ahead and have our say on this hate spreading fest - join the debate here.
