For several weeks now, Hamas actively attacked Israel - targeting civilians in southern cities as well as IDF soldiers on the border.
Taking advantage of this pre-election time, Hamas assumes Israel will do its best not to escalate the situation.
But enough is enough - Israel stands strong to protect it's citizens and just now we've learned that Ahmed Jabari, the commander of Hamas' military wing, was assassinated when his car exploded in Gaza a while ago.
Jabari, who has long topped Israel's most-wanted list, becomes the most senior Hamas official to be killed since an Israeli invasion of Gaza four years ago.
Israeli officials had said in recent days that they were considering assassinating top Hamas officials following a wave of heavy rocket fire from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip.
Jabari was directly responsible for executing terror attacks against the State of Israel in the past number of years. He has lots of blood on his hands and this surgical operation is a clear indication to all terrorists that attack Israel.
