I recently visited the magnificent Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The museum underwent a major revamp (a $100M worth revamp) two years ago. It offers permanent exhibits of Jewish culture from around the world. You can walk among restored synagogues from all over the world and appreciate Jewish culture as demonstrated through artifacts of Jewish tradition like Sukkah or bridal clothing.
The Israel Museum is remarkable because it is, like its nation, so young, and because the story it tells, also like that of its nation, is so old.
Here are images from the museum - enjoy and share..
The view of Jerusalem through the Menorah
Jewish art with a modern design
Torah ark doors from a synagogue in Krakov, Poland
Kidush Shabbat goblets
I'll be sharing more images from the museum soon - but do make it a must on your Jerusalem visit itinerary.
Please keep in touch with Giyus.org and stand by Israel.
