May 2nd 2011 is Holocaust Remembrance day. Israel will stand still at 10AM and will remember the 6,000,000 Jews that were slaughtered. 6,000,000 is a huge number, it's hard to grasp this immensity of this loss. People are not numbers and each and every one of those 6,000,000 which were murdered for being Jews represent a world of its own.
Growing up in Israel you cannot hide from the truth of the Holocaust. Because apart from the 6,000,000 Jews that vanished in the Holocaust, those that survived the unthinkable established Israel as home to the Jewish people. My mom would not have been born if not for the Holocaust. Her parents were both Holocaust survivors. Each has lost their husband or wife and their children in the Holocaust. They met after the war and found some inner strength to move on and create a new family build on the ashes of their lost loved ones.
The Jewish state was born from the ashes of the 6,000,000 Jews massacred by Hitler's killing machines.
66 years after the Holocaust survivors are now hard to find. But the Holocaust will never be forgotten - it lives in the 2nd and 3rd generations of those that survived and in the heart of every Jewish person in the world.
Antisemitism is alive and well. Nowadays, antisemitism is hiding behind anti Zionism. Israel is facing an ongoing battle aiming to de-legitimize the Jewish people right to a Jewish state. Even 66 years later, there are still those that cannot live with the idea that the Jews have a state of their own.
All of us in Giyus.org ask you to support Israel in its fight to remain the one and only Jewish state, home of the Jewish people world wide.
Yehuda Poliker, a well known singer and performer in Israel, has dedicated many of his songs to the Holocaust. Here is "Dust and Ashes" a beautiful song about a reality of hate against innocent people that happened to be Jews. Those that weren't there cannot begin to understand what life as Jews was like - we can only be proud to call Israel home and do all that we can to keep Israel strong so that nothing like the Holocaust will happen ever again.

Hi.
Now that the last survivors are dissapearing it's up to others to testify of what has happened and say "Never Again".Because 'they' are already trying to change history, just like Turkey will never admit to the Armenian Genocide.
